Jeri Clausing is head of BluePrint Strategies’ New Mexico Bureau. She has more than more than 30 years of experience managing, reporting and editing news, business and political coverage for international wire services and major metropolitan daily newspapers, including three years as a correspondent covering technology policy for The New York Times in Washington, D.C.
Most recently, she was supervisory correspondent for The Associated Press in Albuquerque, overseeing the New Mexico news operation and covering national news from the state, including investigative reports into operations at Spaceport America and Los Alamos and Sandia national laboratories. She previously served as executive editor of Interactive Week, an award-winning news magazine that was published by Ziff Davis Media for business executives involved in e-commerce.
In addition to business and general news reporting, her experience includes two years as director of public relations for policy communications for the Business Software Alliance, a Washington-based trade association that represents the world’s largest high-tech companies and four years as hotels editor for Travel Weekly. Currently, she specializes in writing and media relations for a variety of clients, including several hospitality technology companies and hospital and pharmaceutical companies. She also writes a weekly column on luxury travel trends for Travel Weekly and serves on the board of the New Mexico Foundation for Open Government.
